What is Ayurveda?

Ayurvedic Medicine, also known as Ayurveda is more than simply a health system. Is a science of life. The meaning itself is derived from two Sanskrit root words: Ayur= life, Veda= science. It centers on a principle of natural, prevention-oriented treatment for the patients.

This holistic health approach to the overall health of mind and body mostly relies on fitness regimens, all-natural diet plans, and lifestyle practices to bring everything back into harmony and improve mental and physical health. Ayurveda has at its core principle the belief that diseases are due to an imbalance or stress in a person’s consciousness. Ayurvedic’s main pillar is based on the principles that the five elements of nature (fire, water, air, earth, and space) are combined in the body as three components, or doshas, known as Vatta, Pitta, and Kapha. Every individual has a distinct balance of these doshas and our health depends on maintaining a healthy balance between all three energies.
